Those who are looking to do absolutely nothing on their vacation will be happy sitting poolside at Paradise Found enjoying the view.  But those who want to experience St. Croix will not be disappointed in what she has to offer.

The island had been under six different flags before the United States took possession in 1917.  Because of it's rich history you will easily find traces of the French, Spanish, Dutch and particularly Danish influences.

Begin your education about St. Croix in picturesque Christiansted, only 15 minutes from Paradise Found.  Visit  Fort Christianvaern, the Apothecary Hall, and the Steeple Building.  Stroll along the Christiansted boardwalk to see the boating activity in the harbor, and while there, make sure to take advantage of the many great shops that bring the shaded galleries and arcades to life.  There are so many unique St. Croix products to look for -- island inspired jewelry, glass, artwork, clothing, and food.

Guided walking tours are available and maps and literature are available at the National Park service office, located right next to the Fort in the Scale House.

From Christiansted or other locations closer to Paradise Found, you can take a 1/2 day or full day trip to Buck Island National Park, one of the only Underwater National Monuments in the U.S.  Don't be surprised if playful stingrays want to befriend you while you enjoy the crystal clear water and prepare to snorkel along the trail with your guide.

Enjoy snorkeling?  Try scuba diving at one of 25 top rated dive sites on St. Croix, including the famed Wall at Cane Bay.

Head to Frederiksted, on the west end of the island, and you can get a tour of Cruzan Rum, manufacturers of one of the world's best tasting rums - made at the same location by the same family for over 300 years.
Take a drive through the tropical forest, or get a closer look on horseback.   The guide will point out the many different plants and fruits that are indiginous to St. Croix.  You can wander through the St. George Village Botanical Gardens, visit with  plantation home owners, explore sugar mill ruins, and jump off the Frederiksted Pier.  Don't miss the Estate Whim Plantation Museum and Greathouse, where the history of St. Croix unfolds before your eyes.

Then you can head back to Paradise Found!
